A Texas native, Bonnie Baker grew up inspired by songwriters coming out of Nashville but it wasn’t until after graduating from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas that she made the trip all the way to Music City.
Citing Kris Kristofferson, Stevie Nicks, Elton John and Townes Van Zant as some of her biggest inspirations, Bonnie had a deep passion for the industry that encouraged her to build and develop her craft.
Now with several top 40 hits under her belt Bonnie has established herself as one of Nashville’s top songwriters. Some of Bonnie’s writing credits include “Oridnary Life” by Chad Brock, “This Woman Needs” by SHeDAISY, “My Sister” by Reba McEntire, “Tonight” by Sara Evans and, more recently, “Rainy Season” and “Love Makes Me” by Hunter Hayes.
With both a teacher and a student mentality, Bonnie exudes advice for those aspiring to be in the industry and will continue to do many great things throughout 2013, including performing once again at the Wild West Songwriters Festival.
